| Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation, Yale University School of Medicine (CORE) |
CORE is dedicated to improving the quality, efficiency and outcomes of patient care. CORE provides information about patient care from the perspective of patients, health care professionals, the health care system and payers. The scope of activities at CORE ranges from understanding the experience of a single patient to characterizing the patterns of care and outcomes throughout the state and across the country. CORE is staffed by a highly talented, multi-disciplinary team of physicians, nurses, administrators, health service researchers, statisticians, epidemiologists and health economists. |

Preventive medicine residency rotation program: offers two to three months field placement for preventive medicine residents at federal agencies such as office of Disease Prevention health Promotion, Agency for Health Quality and Research (AHRQ), and CDC. |
| American College of Preventive Medicine (ACPM) |
The activities during each rotation will be tailored to take advantage of ACPM's national policy focus and the many policy bodies in Washington, DC, including Congress, federal health agencies, and non-governmental health organizations. Examples include:

Residents have opportunity to apply for international health rotations via the Yale Office of International Health. A wide variety of international sites are available. Program arranges for short trips to work in clinics and hospital in under served counties and developing countries. Countries covered include Chine, Russia, Haiti, and Fiji, Zimbabwe in addition to others. Trips to Alaska and Zuni tribes are also arranged. |
